If you need to convert data from Micro Focus COBOL to any application or format, the Pervasive Data Parser for Micro Focus COBOL is the tool for you.

The Data Parser for Micro Focus COBOL supports these data types: Comp, Comp-1, Comp-2, Comp-3, Comp-5, Comp-X, Display, Display Justified, Display Sign Leading, Display Sign Trailing, Packed Decimal, Text, Zoned Decimal, Zoned-Leading Sign, and Zoned-Trailing Sign. So whether you have a COBOL copybook or you need to manually define the records and fields of virtually any Micro Focus COBOL data file, the Pervasive Data Parser can handle the job. The Data Parser supports reading data from these semi-structured COBOL files and provides a graphical interface in which you can manually define the data records and data fields or apply an external dictionary file.

Export the unpacked data to a CSV Text file that can be imported into virtually any application or database. Or use one of the Pervasive Data Loaders to further map, manipulate, clean, and convert the CSV data to any one of dozens of formats to which the DataTools offer direct connection.
