Btrieve Environment

Before an end user can run your Btrieve application, a version of Btrieve must be available to the end user's computer. Your Btrieve application gains access to the engine in one of the following scenarios:

Your application bundles Btrieve, and the end user installs both your application and Btrieve.

The end user acquires a licensed version of Btrieve and installs both your application and Btrieve.

In either case, you should provide the end user with information about any prerequisite Btrieve software versions and configurations that your application requires.
