Pervasive Software to Present at Big Data Science Meetup

AUSTIN, Texas – August 23, 2012Pervasive Software® Inc. (NASDAQ: PVSW), a global leader in cloud-based and on-premises data innovation, today announced that Jim Falgout, chief technologist of Pervasive Big Data and Analytics Products, will present at the Big Data Science Meetup held August 25 from 1:30-5:00 p.m. PDT at the SGI building in Fremont, California.

Falgout’s presentation, “Speeding up the Data Scientist’s Discovery and Delivery Process,” will take place from 1:45-2:30 p.m., and will discuss how to utilize new programming paradigms and tools to develop a visual workbench for big data analytics on Apache™ Hadoop™, enabling data scientists and analysts to build and execute complex big data workflows for Hadoop with minimal training and without MapReduce knowledge. It will be followed by presentations from Ryan Boyd, Developer Advocate at Google, and Mike Zeller, CEO of Zementis.
