AUSTIN, Texas – May 30, 2012Pervasive Software® Inc. (NASDAQ: PVSW), a global leader in cloud-based and on-premises data innovation, today announced it will participate in the “Big Data in Telecom: Capturing Value from Real-Time Data Analysis and Decision-Making” track at the TIA 2012 Conference & Exhibition (for the global telecommunications industry), taking place June 5-7 at the Gaylord Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

Sponsored by Pervasive, IBM and Datanami, the Big Data in Telecom track includes several presentations that discuss how Communication Service Providers (CSPs) can “develop the right systems, infrastructure and partnerships to manage, protect and leverage the growing flood of data derived from customers, networks and operations.”

Within the track, Jim Falgout, chief technologist for Pervasive Big Data Products, will present “Big Value from Big Data” from 9:00-9:30 a.m. CDT on June 6. Falgout’s presentation will describe how CSPs can leverage big data through predictive analytics upstream of their data stores to move from reactive to proactive operations management. In addition, the presentation will showcase a production solution architected for large volumes of network equipment-generated data, and demonstrate how the solution provides valuable insight into operations.

Also as part of the track, Joe Dubin, Product Manager for Pervasive Big Data Products, will participate in a panel titled, “Making the Big Data Business Case – The Drivers of Business Value” taking place from 9:30-10:20 a.m. on June 6. The panel will be moderated by John Myers, Senior Analyst at EMA, and will include representatives from IBM, Alacatel-Lucent and Excel Telecommunications.

At the event in booth 221, Pervasive will also be demonstrating a solution that improves network performance, service quality and reduced customer churn, using big data analytics. For more information on TIA 2012 Conference & Exhibition, please visit http://tia2012.org/
